In the district of Mount-Lebanon and in the caza of Keserwan and situated at about 32 km from Beirut. At an altitude of about 930 m above the sea level, it is a popular destination for camping. It is the hometown of the Lebanese writer May Ziade. A statue of her is situated in the village.
