Chalisgaon
Chalisgaon is a city and a municipal council in Jalgaon district in the state of Maharashtra, India. Chalisgaon is the second largest tehsil after Bhusawal in Jalgaon district. Villages under Chalisgaon administration include Alwadi,Tirpole, Kodagaon, Bahal, Bhoras, Devali, Hirapur, Jamda, Kargaon, Mehunbare, Hingone, Patonda, Pilkhod, Ranjangaon, Saygaon, Umbarkhed, and Waghali, Hatgaon, Wadale-Wadali. ==Etymology== The word Chalisgaon is a combination of two Marathi words Chalis + Gaon, In Marathi,Chalis means Forty and Gaon means Villages hence the name can be interpreted as Forty Villages.
