Champahati Champahati is a progressive village attached to Simlagarh Rail Station on Howrah Burdwan main line with station code SLG and also highway Grand Tank road which was built by Shershah. This is under Pandua Police station of Chinsurah subdivision of Hooghly district, West Bengal, India. It has become an area with market and passenger hub due to Rail Station and Highway. As per popular belief of old locals, Champahati name derived from Champa, a white pinkish fragrant flower used to bloom in large quantities. ==Demographics== Champahati has a population of 6128 persons from 1391 households It has sand pit turned lakes with plenty of water for cultivation. It has 2 Bengali medium primary and 1 English Medium KG school.
