Chikkadpally is a major suburb and commercial center in Hyderabad, India. The City Central Library is located here. The devotional singer M.S.Ramarao lived here, and a street is named after him called ''Sundara Kanda M.S. Ramarao Lane''. A Famous Cultural Auditorium of Hyderabad after "Ravindra Bharathi" named "Thyagaraya Gana Sabha" is located here,lot of Cultural-based programs and meetings on a daily basis can be witnessed in the auditorium. Lord Venkateshwara Temple: This Temple is one of the oldest and important landmark of chikkadpally,this temple has got lot of history associated with. A large group of Cinema Theaters are located at Chikkadpally,which mainly screens Telugu movies of Tollywood film industry. Chikkadpally is surrounded by Musheerabad, Ashok Nagar, Narayanguda and Bagh Lingampally. ==History== According to locals, Chikkadpally derived its name from Chikkad which means Burada in Telugu and Mud in English. Pally means place.
