Brigadier Mahendra Pratap Singhji was one of his five younger brothers.
Thakur Sher Singhji built a fortress in the village which is the grandest building in the area. More than 2500 bighas of land in and around Chittora besides land in Khandar in Madhopura have been conferred to the jagir by the rulers of the Rajput Kingdom of Jaipur.
Eminent senior administrators associated with the village include Shri Ajay Chittora, Smt Asha Chittora, Shri Raj Kumar Sharma and Dr Mona Sharma who are all from the families of the descendents of the Jagirdar and the Kamdar who are members of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
