Clungunford is a village and civil parish in south Shropshire, England, located near the border with Herefordshire. The village features St. Cuthbert's parish church. The River Clun flows just to the west of the village and can be crossed here by Clungunford Bridge. There is a village hall〔(geograph ) Clungunford Village Hall〕 but no pubs or shops in present times. There is a famous〔(Shropshire Star ) American team rates Shropshire tea room best in Britain (18 August 2012)〕 tea rooms - called ''Rocke Cottage'' (formerly called ''Bird on the Rock'') - which is just over the river from the village in the neighbouring hamlet of Abcott. ==Village== The village hall ("Clungunford Parish Hall"), a public phone box, the Clungunford Sports and Social Club (which includes a lawn bowls green and a team who play in the Ludlow and District Bowls League)〔()〕 and a Royal Mail post box are all situated in the centre of the village, on Chapel Road.〔(dracos.co.uk ) Postboxes in SY7〕 The church (St Cuthbert's) is located on the western edge of the settlement, adjacent to the flood plain of the Clun.
