Go for Gold initiative: Go for Gold is a non-profit program launched in 2010 to enable Indian teams to excel at the world finals of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, an annual multi-tiered competitive programming competition. The Go for Gold cup will be awarded to the Indian team that finishes at a higher rank than any other Indian team has reached in the history of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals. CodeChef for Schools program: CodeChef for Schools aims to stimulate programmers at the grass root level to create a self-sustaining community of technology developers. The initiative hopes to enable Indian students to excel at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), one of the five academic Olympiads for high-school students worldwide. The CodeChef for Schools program has started by tapping school children from class 8 onwards and has pledged a yearly support of US$20,000 for this initiative.
