Cadaver
A cadaver, also called a corpse in medical literary and legal usage or when intended for dissection, is a deceased body.〔New Oxford Dictionary of English, 1999. cadaver Medicine: or poetic/literary: a corpse.〕〔The (obsolete ) British term ''lich'' for ''corpse'', sometimes spelled ''lych'', is no longer even listed in major British dictionaries such as Longman, Macmillan, Cambridge, or (Oxford Online Dictionaries ).
