''Cremaspora'' is a genus of flowering plants in the Rubiaceae family. It is the only genus in the tribe Cremasporeae. It was described by George Bentham in 1849.〔George Bentham. 1849. Niger Flora, or, An enumeration of the plants of western tropical Africa, collected by the late Dr. Theodore Vogel, botanist to the voyage of the expedition sent by Her Britannic Majesty to the river Niger in 1841, under the command of Capt. H. D. Trotter, R.N., &c., p 412〕 The genus is widespread across much of sub-Saharan Africa from Senegal to Tanzania and south to Mozambique and Zimbabwe, in addition to Madagascar, Comoros, and Cape Verde.
