Cronkhill
thumb Cronkhill is a Grade I listed country house near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The house was designed by John Nash about 1802〔A design was exhibited at the Royal Academy, 1802, as a "house near Shrewsbury" (Howard Colvin).〕 for the second Lord Berwick,〔The patron was not Lord Berwick's agent and friend, Francis Walford, as reported by Colvin, for Walford was not appointed until 1804 ('Domesday Book: 1750-1875', A History of the County of Shropshire: Volume 4: Agriculture (1989), pp. 168-231.
