Cullagium The cullagium was a tax imposed by pope Urban II (ca. 1042 – 29 July 1099) as part of a drive towards clerical celibacy. It allowed a clergyman in the Catholic Church to "keep a concubine as long as he paid a regular annual fee". It also was intended to earn the Church extra money.〔 ==References== 〔
