Curtatone is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, located about southeast of Milan and about southwest of Mantua. , it had a population of 12,877 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (Istat).〕 The municipality of Curtatone contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Buscoldo, Eremo, Grazie, Levata, Montanara, Ponteventuno, San Lorenzo, and San Silvestro. Curtatone borders the following municipalities: Borgoforte, Castellucchio, Mantua, Marcaria, Porto Mantovano, Rodigo, Virgilio.
