Cyclohexylthiophthalimide (abbreviated CTP) is an organosulfur compound that is used in production of rubber. It is a white solid, although commercial samples often appear yellow. It features the sulfenamide functional group, being a derivative of phthalimide and cyclohexyl mercaptan.〔Hans-Wilhelm Engels, Herrmann-Josef Weidenhaupt, Manfred Pieroth, Werner Hofmann, Karl-Hans Menting, Thomas Mergenhagen, Ralf Schmoll, Stefan Uhrlandt “Rubber, 4. Chemicals and Additives” in Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry 2004, Wiley-VCH, Weinheim. 〕 In the production of synthetic rubber, CTP impedes the onset of vulcanization.
