DWBR
DWBR (104.3 FM), broadcasting as 104.3 Business Radio, is a radio station with a business news, big band and OPM format in the Metro Manila area, owned and operated by the government of the Philippines through the Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS) under the Presidential Communications Group. Its studios are located in the Philippine Information Agency Building, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. The station operates daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, transmitting at an effective power of 25,000 watts.〔()〕 It currently broadcasts a mix of news and information, talk, and music, giving emphasis on oldies music and also Original Pilipino Music (OPM). ==History== DWBR started in 1970s as DWIM (under at 103.5 MHz FM, which is now called 103.5 K-Lite, owned by Advanced Media Broadcasting System, Inc.), headquarted at the Philcomcen Tower in Pasig (before moved to the Broadcast Plaza in Bohol Avenue, and its' present location at Visayas Avenue) serving music and news daily from 5 AM to midnight. Newscasters around that time were Jess Decolongan, Don Lee, and Bong Lapira. Other voices of DWIM included Babs Peña and Manny Freires.〔()〕 It became DWBR (and moved to the current frequency at 104.3 MHz) in 1986, after the People Power Revolution. At present, the station has a new tagline: Weaving Beautiful Rhythms. It is managed by its active manager Ms. Ma. Julita E. Ramos, known as Maju Ramos on the air. Regular newscasters include Bon Vibar, Cheryl Buenaventura-Ayuste, Maju Ramos, and Rouella Santos. Other voices heard on the station are Manny Carvajal, Fred Patrick, and Camille Victoria.
