DXAS-TV

DXAS-TV, channel 4, is the sister station of Philippine television network of ABS-CBN Corporation. Its studios and transmitter are located at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center, Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City.
==History==

*1964 - DXAW-TV channel 2, the first television station in Southern Mindanao, was launched by ABS (later merging with CBN into ABS-CBN).
*1972 - During the declaration of Martial Law by then-President Ferdinand Marcos, and the takeover of ABS-CBN by his crony, Roberto Benedicto, DXAS-TV was shut down then it became part of the Kanlaon Broadcasting System (later Radio Philippines Network).
*1972 - DXAW-TV changed its callsign to DXAS-TV followed by frequency from Channel 2 to Channel 4.
*1988 - DXAS-TV reopened under ABS-CBN, its original owner.
*June 28, 1988 - DXAS-TV introduced the ''Star Network'' with the famous numerical gold tri-ribbon channel 4 logo with a star.
*April 17, 1989 - TV Patrol Southern Mindanao (first known as TV Patrol Mindanao from 1989 to 1997 and reverted from 2001 to 2005/as TV Patrol Davao from 1997 to 2001), the channel's flagship newscast launched.
*1989 - DXAS-TV set up its domestic satellite broadcast from Manila.
