DXEC-TV (ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro) is the sister station of the Philippine television network ABS-CBN Corporation. Its studios and transmitter (with an ERP of 60 kilowatt) are located at the ABS-CBN Broadcast Center in Macapagal Drive (formerly Greenhills Road), Barangay Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City. It is the third largest ABS-CBN station in Mindanao after Davao and General Santos.
==History==

*February 1986 - DXEC-TV channel 2, Northern Mindanao's first television station, was established before, during and/or after EDSA Revolution until the 3rd quarter of the year under its original owner ABS-CBN when it resumed its radio-television operations except in Cebu (TV-3) and Bacolod (TV-4) as their affiliate stations since the Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation was dissolved.
*June 28, 1988 - DXEC-TV carries the ''Star Network'' with a gold tri-ribbon channel 2 with a star.
*1989 - DXEC-TV started domestic satellite broadcasts to bring programs live from Manila.
*1995 - TV Patrol Northern Mindanao becomes the station's flagship newscast.
