dyWV Radio West Visayas is an FM radio station in the Philippines owned, operated and under the supervision of the College of Communication - West Visayas State University , the leading communication school in Visayas and Mindanao, under the brand dyWV Radio West Visayas. It is a free-to-air, non-commercial, academic and educational laboratory radio station manned by selected college of communications students with the supervision of broadcast council headed by Prof. Carmencita Y. Robles, the dean of the college.〔(Station web-site )〕 == Programming == In the previous years, the programming was divided into two distinct programs namely: the AM format in the morning and the FM format in the afternoon. The AM formats include presentation of news, ranging from school events,local, national, international, business, sports, and environment and commentaries of current issues may directly or indirectly affect the lives students and members of the WVSU community in general. However, during the academic year 2007 to date AM Programming was phased off. In the recent years, DYWV changed its format to FM programming. Music, news, and several Radio magazine programs that continue to educate its listeners filled the entire day to day schedule of programming. The radio magazine programs would include Devcom Hour, Studiositas and Gender & Development hour. These programs are anchored by students and they usually invite speakers who can talk about certain topics which are very relevant to the students and faculty of West Visayas State University. In the morning, DYWV airs news gathered from local, national and international scene. After the morning news, the station plays different genres of music. From Oldies but Goldies, Jazz, Pop and Love Songs, RnB, OPM, New Wave, Rock to Alternative.
