DZAS (702 AM) is a non-commercial news, public affairs, and entertainment for Mega Manila market. It was owned and operated by Far East Broadcasting Company in the Philippines. The station's new studio is located at 46th floor of One Corporate Centre, Meralco Avenue corner Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City and the transmitter is located at Bocaue, Bulacan. ==Station Profile== Initially known as KZAS, the station began its broadcast on June 4, 1948. KZAS eventually came to be known as 680 kHz (read ''"Six-Eighty"'') DZAS. For six decades now, Sometime in 1979 DZAS moved to the present to frequency of 702 kHz in response to the adoption of the 9 kHz spacing on AM radio stations in the Philippines. (read ''"Seven-O-Two"'') 702 DZAS has been providing the Filipino household with news, music, information, and inspiration while sharing the Word of God. It is now one of the oldest radio stations still operating today. 702 DZAS experienced a cut in its broadcast hours in November 2003 due to its financial difficulties. In January 2004, the station resumed its regular broadcast hours. At present, DZAS broadcasts from 04:45 AM to 12:00 AM/MN (Mondays - Fridays), 05:00 AM to 12:00 AM/MN (Saturdays), and from 05:30 AM to 12:00 AM/MN during Sundays on the clear channel frequency of 702 AM band at 50,000 watts, and 24 hours daily on via Internet streaming.
