DZRJ-FM

DZRJ-FM, branded as 100.3 RJFM, is a radio station broadcasting with an oldies format. It is owned by Rajah Broadcasting Network, Inc. The station's studio is located at 7849 General Luna St. corner Makati Ave. in Makati City, while the transmitter is located in Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City. The 25,000 watt signal reaches all of Metro Manila and the surrounding provinces. It also broadcasts nationwide over RJ 100's array of relay FM radio stations, each with its own frequency (except in Cebu and Davao, where it also airs on the same frequency as the Manila station), rebroadcasting the national feed via satellite. The station plays 1960s to 1990s music (Classic Hits), as well as the hits of 2000's from Monday to Saturday & 1950s to 1960s music (Oldies) every Sunday. It is also the most successful radio station whose regular playlist is defined not by genre, but by sound, following the greatest and the latest format. RJ 100 operates 24 hours daily except Mondays where it leaves the air from midnight until 5 am due to regular transmitter maintenance, and during Holy Week where it leaves the air at midnight of Good Friday and resumes transmissions at 5 am of Black Saturday.
==History==
It was once DZUW-AM broadcasting on 1310 kHz originally owned by Republic Broadcasting System (now GMA Network, Inc.) but was moved to FM in 1973 on 100.3 MHz before reformatting as DWNK-FM branded as Wink FM during the Martial Law years. Wink FM was manned by all-female DJ's, decades before ABS-CBN's 101.9 Radio Romance (now MOR 101.9) came to existence.
Around 1986, during the Philippines' historic People Power Revolution, after DZRJ-AM reformatted as Radyo Bandido with a news, talk & public service format, 100.3 Wink FM was sold to Rajah Broadcasting Network and changed its callsign to DZRJ and it was reformatted as Boss Radio DZRJ 100.3, broadcasting rock-and-roll format, which was similar to the former format where DZRJ-AM essentially left off.
Around 1999, it was reformatted to The Hive 100.3, playing alternatives & classic rock music. Its format was similar to the defunct RJ Underground Radio 105.9. In 2002, The Hive finally reformatted to an all-oldies format, and rebranded it as RJ 100. It was then a fully automated radio station until May 2003, when it started to add live DJs to the programming line-up. The first DJ heard on this station in 2003 was Hill Billy Willy (formerly from Wish 1075, now with Retro 105.9 DCG FM). It also began bringing news from VOA & BBC similar to DZRJ-AM.
