It is said that during the 1950s and 1960s this place used to produce a significant amount of milk, curd, cheese and butter, hence the name Dairy-farm, which gradually became Daifam. It is located in Samdrup Jongkhar District, close to the border with India, and is connected by road with the Indian town of Bhairabkunda.
