Daryapur (Banosa) is a city and a municipal council in Amravati district in the state of Maharashtra, India. Daryapur is situated on the bank of Chandrabhaga river. The town drives its name from Darya Imad Shah the 3rd independent Kings of Berar (AD 1526–1560) and who founded Daryapur. Daryapur's education includes Prabodhan Vidyalaya daryapur and other schools. Daryapur is also famous as a cotton producing town with jinning and pressing factories. It also produces cereals like 'Mug' and 'Chana'. Soyabeen production in recent years is also growing. Daryapur Municipal Council comprises three separate town i.e. Daryapur, Banosa and Babhali. Daryapur is the main town where the Municipal Council, ST Bus Stand, and main schools are situated. There is only a narrow-gauge rail line separating Banosa from Daryapur. Babhali and Banosa are separated by the river "Chandrabhaga". Places of interest in and around Daraypur are the Cotton mill, Kholapuri Gate, Asha-Manisha Temple, Sant Gadge Baba Temple, Parashram Maharaj Temple-Pimplod, Shivgir Maharaj Lehgaon, Gajanan Maharaj Temple-Shiwar, chandika devi temple at chendikapur (of Nandkishor, Pranjali AND P.W.C.), Navaji Baba Temple Sasan BK & Bag famous as religious places. ==Education== Daryapur's educational institutes include Prabodhan Vidyalaya Daryapur, Smt. and Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidalay which offer Under-graduate and Post-graduate programs for girls in fields of Arts such as Home Economics, Music and J.D. Patil Sangludkar Mahavidhaly. Other educational institutions include Maulana Azad Urdu high school, Shamim Azad High School, Adarsh mahavidlya, banosa. There is a nearby college, Daryapur kashibai agrawal junior college yeoda. An Engineering college was recently opened by Dr Rasu Gavai. There are NGOs working in the fielding education are also active especially Pragati shikshan sanstha, run by Mirza Zahed Baig engaged in diploma courses in language approved by NCPUL, Delhi. Schools such as Adarsh Vidhalaya, Kashi bai agrawal vidyala and Maulana Azad Urdu high school have produced successful professionals. Industrialist Tahir Ali belongs to these schools, and now has his business empire in many countries. Mr Nilesh Jalamkar director of Debu-Dev Tethechi Janava is also from Daryapur. His next release Mahanayak Vasant Tu is based on the life of Vasantrao Naik, longest serving CM of Maharashtra for 11 consecutive years.
