Deendar
Deendar () is a Muslim community in Pakistan. Many members of the Hindu Dalit Chura community converted to Christianity during the British Raj. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, many of the Christian Chura accepted Islam and they known as ''Deendar''. Dīn means ''religion'' and Dar means ''follower'' in Urdu language.〔(Pakistan’s caste system: The untouchable's struggle )〕 They are also called ''Deendar Changar''. The Muslim Shaikh community converted to Islam from the Hindu Chuhra caste. ==See also==
