Deferiprone
Deferiprone (tradenames include Ferriprox) is a drug that chelates iron and is used to treat iron overload in thalassaemia major.〔 (Full Text ).〕 It was first approved for use in treating thalassaemia major in 1994〔Staff, Cipla.
