Destructoid is a Webby Award-winning independent video game-focused blog that was founded in March 2006 by Yanier Gonzalez. It is part of the ModernMethod network. Since 2008 Destructoid has organized annual charities in conjunction with their gaming activity, the first ever charity was an organized gaming marathon that raised money for children with cancer. Mr. Destructoid, the mascot for the organization has appeared in various video games starting with Bomberman Live in 2007. ==History== Destructoid was owned by Yanier Gonzalez so that he could attend the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2006. After initially being rejected, Gonzalez began writing original editorials and drawing cartoons which were picked up by established gaming blogs like ''Joystiq''〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Quad SLI gaming for Cheapskates )〕 and ''Kotaku''.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Destructoid's First Comic )〕 In 2007 the site relaunched with user blogs, forums, and a team of contributors. After E3, Gonzalez appeared at the press conference dressed as Mr. Destructoid (Destructoid's robot mascot, shown on logos and promotional material) to hand out promotional flyers. Gonzalez was the first to break the news of Jack Thompson's disbarment.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Destructoid Scores Big with Bully Courtroom Coverage )〕 Destructoid posts an average of 50 stories a day. Other works were picked up by social bookmarking sites like the satirical Ten Golden Rules of Online Gaming,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Ten Golden Rules of Online Gaming )〕 its Guides on Recognizing Gamers,〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Guides on recognizing gamers )〕 The Mr. Destructoid costume was redesigned in 2012 by Volpin Props, featuring animated LED circuitry, and is still active as their mascot at press events. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Destructoid」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
