Didwana

Didwana () is a town in Nagaur district of Rajasthan in India, in the Thar Desert. It is thought to be more than 5,000 years old. The name 'Didwana' is considered as stumbled name of 'Deen Deewana'. The land is known for the 'Deen Deewana' (Loopy for Islam). Later it converted in to 'Deedwana' and 'Didwana'. The India Post Department still quotes the name and stamp as 'Deedwana'.
Nowadays Didwana is a well-known town of Nagaur/Rajasthan. Many people of Didwana and nearby places are well settled elsewhere in India and hold important positions or are famous industrialists. And also technology startups business investment and funding firm inttco group now works closely in eCommerce segment like Amazon, flipkart, snapdeal, jabong, and yupme was founded in 1824 in Didwana, now operating in 52 countries. The famous Maheshwari billionaire business family Bangur hails from Didwana. The Shree Shyam Maharaj Ji Ka Mandir is famous since 400 years old. Further it is also famous for two famous old maths based on the Ramanuja Sampradaya, namely, the Jahlaria Math headed by Sri Sri 1008 Swami Ghanshyamacharyaji Maharaj and The Nagoria Math headed by Sri Sri 1008 Swami Vishnu prapannacharyaji Maharaj. The city is historically known for Fort Mosque (Qila Mosque) built by Emperor Akbar in the memory of Sufi Saint.
The city is famous for its Hindu traditional culture and philosophy and the Maths are a must-visit for all Hindu devotees once in lifetime. The Baas and basinies, as the surrounding areas of town, the mathura Das Ji ka jaav, the well built by the maharaja of Jodhpur in the 12th century, in Gaadha baas, inside the well at 107 feet below surface level is a secret chamber deep inside the well where it is said that the hero of the first Indian rebellion, Vijay Singh Pathik, had stayed inside the well's chamber. The property is under the prestigious Pareek family from past 450 Years and is a very good example of ancient Rajasthani architecture.
The temples of these maths are generally regarded to be very beautiful, though they may not be as big as other temples but they are regarded very highly by the Hindu community.
The town is famous for its VED Vidhalya where Brahmin students are taught about Veda, dharma and other aspects of the Hindu religion.
The name Didwana used to be 'Deen Deewana' as this is a mystic land of Islamic Sufi movement and epicenter. Abdul Ghaffar Rumi stayed here while traveling with Khwaja Mueenuldin Chishti. The great Usmani family of the city still resides in Didwana. The Sufi triangle of Ajmer, Nagaur and Didwana gave a mystic journey of anyone. The Great Akbar made a mosque named 'Qila Masjid' (Fort Mosque) in the loving memory of the footsteps of Khwaja Mueenuldin Chishti. The Qila Masjid is within the area where The Great Usmani family is residing after HH Abdul Ghaffar Rumi stayed.

Didwana is located at .〔(Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Didwana )〕 It has an average elevation of 336 metres (1102 feet).
The town is more than 5,000 years old and has a long history of great teachers who have taken the Hindu religion a long way and have shown the way how to lead life, how to grow, etc.
In Didwana there are twelve ''baas'' and twelve ''baasni'' (called in general language colony). There live Mali samaj in these ''baas'' and Deshwali samaj lives in ''Basani''.

# Inderpur is 13 kilometers from Didwana on Salasar Highway. Earlier this city was extent in between seven big gates, for security. But now six gates exist, as one (Delhi Gate) gate has vanished. One thing is special for these gates that at each gate The Lord Ganesh Temple are situated. The name of the gates are:

After the rise of the Bangur family who stayed in Sitaram Bagh, the Bangur family had built many schools, a college, hospital, roads and other infrastructural facilities in the town. Thus the city was one of the most prominent town in the Rajastan State and important centre from people from nearby villages and towns such as Ladnun, Kuchaman, Merta, Sujangarh, Kishangarh, Molasar, and Borsu.
Not only the town but also people from nearby places is indebted to the Bangur Family for its important role played in the development of the town.
Special temple -
Baba Ramnath Ji Ki Bagichi- Near Didwana is a very old village named Kharesh, where a very pious saint named Baba Ramnath ji have meditated long back before 80 years. A very beautiful Bagichi temple has been constructed in Kharesh and a lot of visitors visit kharesh twice on the occasion of Chhat Mela in Bhadra and Ashwin of Ramnath ji maharaj. Now saint MANGILAL JI PANDIT is serving there from last decades.
