The Divisaderan age was proposed as South American Land Mammal Ages, covering a period of geologic time (42.0—36.0 Ma) within the Eocene epoch of the Paleogene used more specifically with. It was based in the fossils found in Divisadero Largo, Mendoza, Argentina, that were unique for reunite ancient and more recent species of mammals. In the present day it is a mixture of two deposits:〔López, G. M. (2008). Unpublished D. Phil. Thesis, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina.〕 *Divisadero Largo Formation of the older early Eocene *Mariño Formation of the younger Oligocene.
