Doaba ((パンジャーブ語:ਦੋਆਬਾ)), also known as Bist Doab or Jullundur Doab, is the region of Punjab, India between the Beas and Sutlej rivers, one of the five Punjab doabs. People of this region are given the demonym "Doabia". The dialect of Punjabi spoken in Doaba is called "Doabi". The term "Doaba" or "Doab" is derived from Persian "دو آب" (do āb "two water") meaning "land of two rivers".〔http://punjabrevenue.nic.in/gaz_kpt1.htm〕 Scheduled castes form more than 35% of the population in Doaba.
