Dokha
Dokha (Arabic: ''dokha'', "Vertigo") is an Iranian tobacco blend, consisting of finely shredded tobacco mixed with leaves, bark and herbs. The tobacco product is popular in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and other Middle Eastern countries. Dokha comes in many strengths and flavors, and can also be flavored with a variety of fruits. It typically has a very high nicotine content, so a users will most often smoke a small amount at a time. Unlike hookah tobacco, or shisha, dokha is not cured with molasses. Dokha is commonly smoked out of an elongated wooden pipe called a midwakh, alternatively spelled 'medwakh.' The traditional midwakh has no filter, but a more recent variation contains a stem-mounted filter to reduce heavy particulate matter entering the lungs as the Dokha tobacco blend is smoked.
