Dokumental GmbH & Co. KG Schreibfarben is an independent ink manufacturer headquartered in Ludwigshafen/Rhine. With over 60 years of experience in the development and production of ink, Dokumental is worldwide market leader and exports its products in about 100 countries.
== History ==
The history of Dokumental goes back to the year 1952, when the Bavarian company “Mittenwald Chemie” was founded. In 1964, the IKF (Industrieklebstoffe und Farben) was established in Ludwigshafen. Dokumental arouse from the fusion of the two organizations in 1992 and became the globally leading provider of inks. The market position was expanded further by the acquisition of the National Ink Ltd. in 2010. The Shanghai Dokumental Ink Co. Ltd. was founded in the same year in order to especially provide products for the growing Asian market.
In 2001, Dokumental was certified by ISO 9001. The commendation as “Known Consigner” and “Regulated Agent” by the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics followed in 2013. In February 2014, Dokumental was finally certified as “Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)” by the European Taxation and Customs Union.
