dol2day is the name of a social networking platform for politically interested German speaking people. ''dol2day'' is the abbreviation for “democracy online today”. Most of the members are college and university students, pupils and younger professionals, in particular from Germany. Average age is between 20 and 30 years. The website was launched in May 2000 by five students from Aachen. Therefore ''dol2day'' claims to be one of the oldest social networks and the biggest for politics in Germany.
