Domalapenta is a village of Mahabubnagar district in the Indian state of Telangana. It is near to Srisailam Dam and the temple of Srisailam. Domalapenta is a village on the left side of Srisailam Project, situated in Nallamala Hills of Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, India. It is on the left bank of River Krishna, about 186 km south of Hyderabad. Domalapenta is located at 16°6'11"N 78°53'55"E and it has an average elevation of . Domalapenta is also called as BrahmaGiri on the name of Lord Brahma, as he did Tapash on this hill. There is a purana story that describes that Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma performed Tapash on three hills on the banks of River Krishna. Thus these hills are called as RudraGiri/ShivaGiri(Srisailam), VishnuGiri(Sunnipenta) and Brahma Giri (Domalapenta). ==Places of Interest== Bhramaramba Mallikarjunaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy (a form of Shiva) and Devi Bhramaramba (a form of Parvathi) is located here and it is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. In Domalapenta one Govt Primary and High School (first standard to x standard) is there. Government Health Center, post office, and State Bank of Hyderabad are also there.
