''DoomRL'' (or ''Doom, the Roguelike'') is a roguelike video game for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, whose setting is based on the first-person shooters ''Doom'' and ''Doom II''. It was created by Kornel Kisielewicz using Free Pascal and SDL. Discussion participants of the 1UP Retronauts podcast declared ''DoomRL'' to be "quite possibly, the greatest ''Doom'' spin-off ever".〔(Retronauts podcast (Episode 3) ), October 18, 2006.〕 ==Gameplay== ''DoomRL'' is turn-based, offers a top-down interface formed entirely of ASCII characters, and features a character leveling system with traits. As it is based upon ''Doom'', the game is more fast-paced and combat-oriented than usual for a roguelike, and relies heavily on ranged rather than melee combat. A limited player inventory, non-stackable items, and other design choices contrast with the often extreme intricacy of games in its genre. As of 0.9.9.6, Derek Yu's graphical tileset is now the game's default, offering an alternative to the more traditional ASCII rendering. ''DoomRL'' includes the entire ''Doom'' soundset (although a significant subset of the sounds are not presently used) and music library, with optional support for high-quality MP3s. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「DoomRL」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
