Hatziantoniou) pointed to a settlement dating "from Middle Cypriote III to Late Cypriote I but also from Late Cypriote IIC to IIIA and later".〔(New Swedish Cyprus Expedition 2010 )〕 Dromolaxia's main church, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is a special building to the people of Dromolaxia. It is believed that when the church caught fire the church bell could be heard ringing.
