Dundo Dundo is a mining town and the provincial capital of Lunda Norte in Angola. The city is the home of the football club called Grupo Desportivo Sagrada Esperança, which plays at Estádio Quintalão. The local museum houses objects collected by Hermann Baumann (social anthropologist). Since 2001, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Dundo is Joaquim Ferreira Lopes.() == History == The city was founded and built by the company DIAMANG in 1912, who had the diamond mining concession in Lunda, having ceased to exist and was replaced by the current company Empresa Nacional de Diamantes ENDIAMA. Shortly after it ceased to be the capital of Lunda Norte, it is being built as a new capital called New Dundo. The city owns the airport Dundo, Sagrada Esperança Stadium, Dundo Museum, the Diamond Hotel and Middle Polytechnic Institute August 28 Dundo.
