Dussen is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is a part of the municipality of Werkendam, and is located about 12 km south of Gorinchem. Dussen was a separate municipality until 1997, when it was merged with Werkendam. Before 1908, the name of the municipality was "Dussen, Munster en Muilkerk". In 2001, the town of Dussen had 1,632 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.56 km², and contained 670 residences.〔Statistics Netherlands (CBS), (''Bevolkingskernen in Nederland 2001'' ).
