Dverberg

Dverberg is a small village and a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The former municipality was located on the island of Andøya in the present-day municipality of Andøy. The village of Dverberg is located on the east coast of the island of Andøya, along the Andfjorden. The village of Dverberg is also called Myre. Dverberg Church is a wooden, octagonal church built in 1843, located on the north end of the village.
==History==

Dverberg was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). It covered the whole island of Andøya as well as the northeastern tip of the island of Hinnøya.
On 1 January 1924, the northern part of Dverberg was separated to form the new municipality of Andenes (population: 2,213) and the southern part of Dverberg was separated to become the new municipality of Bjørnskinn (population: 1,410). This left 1,477 residents in Dverberg which now only covered the central part of the island of Andøya.
On 1 January 1964, Bjørnskinn, Andenes, and Dverberg were all merged back together again to create the new municipality of Andøy. Before the merger, Dverberg had a population of 1,719.
As of 2010, the village of Dverberg/Myre had around 250 inhabitants.
