He compares her with Venus. Most of contemporary scholars consider that ''Annales seu cronici incliti regni Poloniae'' isn't a trustworthy source on Slavic mythology. Aleksander Brückner claimed that the name of Dzydzilelya is derived from a meaningless song refrain, mistook by Długosz for a name of deity.
