Eldikan
Eldikan ((ロシア語:Эльдикан), ) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Ust-Maysky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located on the right bank of the Aldan River, northeast of Ust-Maya, the administrative center of the district. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 1,515. ==History== It was established in 1941 as a river port, as a base for the developing gold mining activities on the Yudoma and Allakh-Yun Rivers. Urban-type settlement status was granted to it in 1948,〔''Registry of the Administrative-Territorial Divisions of the Sakha Republic''〕 and it was made the administrative center of Allakh-Yunsky District. It lost this role again in 1953 with the merger of the district back into Ust-Maysky District.
