Elizondo is a Basque place-name and surname meaning '(house) beside the church'. As a place-name it is attested in the whole Basque region, but especially in Navarre and French Basque Country (cf ''Eliçaondo'' in Pamplona, 1350). It shows a number of variants stemming from the original form, especially in America, such as ''Elissondo, Lizondo, Elissonde'', less likely but also possible ''Elison'' and ''Elyson'', irrespective of the genuine, pre-American English and Welsh forms. ==People== * Domingo Elizondo, a Spanish soldier in the 18th century * Everardo Elizondo Almaguer, a Mexican economist * Fernando Elizondo Barragán, a Mexican senator * Héctor Elizondo, an American actor * Hernán Elizondo Arce, a Costa Rican writer * Horacio Elizondo, a football referee * Ignacio Elizondo, 19th century Mexican general and turncoat * Laura Elizondo, a former Miss Mexico who competed for the Miss Universe title * Mike Elizondo, a musician and hip hop producer * Salvador Elizondo, a Mexican writer * René Elizondo, Jr., a dancer, songwriter, and music video director * Ricardo Elizondo Elizondo, a Mexican writer * Rodolfo Elizondo, a Mexican politician * Virgilio Elizondo, a Mexican American, Roman Catholic priest 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Elizondo」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
