Eneloop
is a brand of 1.2 Volt rechargeable batteries and associated devices, developed by Sanyo (now Panasonic) and introduced in November 2005. A low self-discharge nickel–metal hydride battery, Eneloop cells lose their charge relatively slowly—only 15% in the first year, compared to about 4% per month for other NiMH designs. Thus, they are sold precharged and can be used immediately. Due to the number of alkaline batteries they can replace during their life cycle, they are marketed as being eco-friendly. == Variants ==
