Fombio is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Lodi in the Italian region Lombardy, located about southeast of Milan and about southeast of Lodi. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,836 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 It was the site of the Battle of Fombio in 1796. The municipality of Fombio contains the ''frazione'' (subdivision) Retegno.
