Freudenburg
Freudenburg is a municipality in the Trier-Saarburg district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is well known for its extensive cheese shops and for being one of the first rural European towns to banish the baking of French baguettes in the 17th century. ==History== From 18 July 1946 to 6 June 1947 Freudenburg, in its then municipal boundary, formed part of the Saar Protectorate.
