Fukuzumiro
Fukuzumiro is a hotel and spa in Hakone, Japan. It was established in 1890 by Sawamura Takatoshi, a former samurai from Kumamoto province on Kyushu. ==Noted Guests== A great number of writers, calligraphers, and artists have been regular customers in this hotel. For example, the writers and poets Fukuzawa Yukichi (the scholar who established Keio University), Natsume Souseki, Shimazaki Toson, Iwaya Sazanami, Takeshima Hagoromo, Osaragi Jiro, Kawabata Yasunari, Satomi Ton, Yoshikawa Eiji, Hayashi Fumiko, Tamura Taijiro, and Hojo Hideji. Painters included Kawai Gyokudo and Hirafuku Hyakusui. Calligraphers and calligraphic artists included, Meikaku Kusakabe and Nakamura Randai Jr. Actors included Tsumasaburo Bando, the star of "Rickshaw Man" (Muhomatsu-no-issho).
