The SEV team was then a small group of former Vectrix employees, renting out a small portion of the Vectric Poland plant in order to build scooters. In late 2009 SEV rebranded itself to GOVECS, which loosely stands for "green oxygen vehicles", and moved to its own location with a production facility on Wodzisławska St in Wrocław, Poland. Former key Vectrix employees who started GOVECS and are still with the company include Nicholas Holdcraft and Przemysław Kasiński.
