Gajaga
Gajaga, where Gaja is a Sanskrit word for elephant and whose earlier name was Gajankusha, was a very old Kannada author of 9th/10th century who has been mentioned in ''Shabdamanidarpana'', a comprehensive and authoritative work on Kannada grammar authored by Kesiraja in 1260 CE,〔E.P. Rice – pp 111〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=History of the Kannada Literature -III )〕 as a pathbreaking poet of the Rashtrakuta literature in the "Classical Age". Unfortunately no work by Gajaga has survived, but there are evidences that suggest that he wrote more than one book. ==See also==
