Galabri Galabrii (Ancient Greek: Γαλάβριοι) was a Romanized Thraco-Illyrian〔Wilkes, J. J. The Illyrians, 1992, ISBN 0-631-19807-5, Page 85,"...the Dardanians were an Illyrian or a Thracian people..."〕 tribe of Dardania alongside the Thunatae.〔(Strabo ),"To the Dardaniatae belong also the Galabrii, among whom is an ancient city, and the Thunatae"〕 They held a region of Eastern Kosovo, Southern Serbia and Northern Macedonia, the towns of "Vendenae", between ''Ad Fines'' (Kuršumlija) and ''Viminacium'' (Kostolac), "Vicinianum" between ''Vendenae'' and ''Theranda'', "Tranupara" between ''Astibus'' (Štip) and ''Scupi'' (Skopje)〔(The classical gazetteer: a dictionary of ancient geography, sacred and profane ) by William Hazlitt, 1851.〕 Strabo writes that they are a "people of the Dardaniatae, in whose land is an ancient city."〔(Descriptive Ethnology: Europe, Africa, India )〕 The tribe has been connected to Calabria in southern Italy.〔 ==References==
