Ganddal is a district of the city of Sandnes, Norway. It has a population of 6,235. It has one of the city's largest industrial areas and the Jæren Line railroad runs through the area, which is served by the commuter and goods station, Ganddal Station. This will be Norway's second largest and serve the entire Stavanger/Sandnes region. A new high-capacity bypass road will also open and carry traffic between the landscapes of Jæren, via the station and west of Ganddal's population to central Sandnes. Sports clubs include Ganddal IL as well as the powerlifting and strongman club Ganddal AK. Ganddal is famous for Stokkelandsvannet which is a small lake in the centre of Ganddal. Ganddal has four schools. Ganddal skole and Sørbø skole which are Primary Schools. Sandnes Friskole is a private school from 1st to 10th grade and is organized by Familiekirken and Betel Hommersåk.
