Gjonaj-Gjoni is an Albanian Roman Catholic surname. ==History== The clan of Gjonaj was first recorded in 1306. The name originally derives from an Albanian noble family, the Jonima family from the city of Lezha. There are also Albanian Muslims who still bear the surname Gjoni and Gjonaj. The family has the feast day of St. John (Shnjoni), on 29 August. Gjoni, Gjonaj in Hebrew language means "grace of God" Gjoni, Gjonaj and identified himself as "grace of god" individual identification as noble or royal.
