Glogster

Glogster is a cloud-based (SaaS) platform for presentation and interactive learning. It allows users to mix all kinds of media on a virtual canvas to create multimedia posters, and access a library of engaging educational content created by students and educators worldwide. Glogster encourages interactive, collaborative education and digital literacy.
Today, the platform is mainly used by educators and students. It has grown into a worldwide community of over 19 million users, who have created over 25 million educational glogs, out of 45 million total glogs on the service. Glogster was launched in 2009 and is based in Prague and Boston.
==History==

Glogster was developed in 2007 by Martin Santorcl, Patrik Prepsl, Roman Smola, Stanislav Šrámek and Tomáš Plojhar. The platform was initially promoted as a visual network, allowing users to express themselves via “graphic blogs” or “glogs”. In response to needs of educators incorporating Glogster into lessons and assignments, Glogster EDU (or edu.glogster.com) was set up alongside glogster.com in 2009, offering a more secure and specific educational platform.
