It was located in the northwestern part of the present-day municipality of Røros. The village of Glåmos is located along the river Glåma, just west of the lake Aursund and about north of the town of Røros. It is the location of the Glåmos Church and the Glåmos Station on the Rørosbanen railway. ==History== The parish of Glåmos was established as a municipality in 1926 when the large municipality of Røros was split into four separate municipalities: Brekken, Glåmos, Røros bergstad, and Røros landsogn. Initially, Glåmos had a population of 983. On 1 January 1964, the four municipalities were reunited under the name Røros.
